BASE Nutrition Seminar Highlights!

Our latest nutrition seminar was a great success, and we’d like to thank everyone who took part! Held at our BASE Fitness Health facility, the seminar covered essential nutrition strategies designed to help you achieve your fitness goals—whether it’s fat loss, muscle gain, or simply living a healthier life

    We explored how to calculate your daily calorie needs and why tracking calories is key for both fat loss and muscle building.
  2. Mastering Macronutrients
    We broke down the role of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, and explained their importance for energy, muscle repair, and overall health. Did you know that alcohol also has 7 calories per gram?
  3. Micronutrients Matter
    Vitamins and minerals play a crucial role in your health, and the easiest way to meet your needs is to fill half your plate with vegetables!

    We emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, especially if you’re active. Aim for at least 3 liters of water per day, and don't forget—coffee counts!

    Supplements should only be used when necessary, with Vitamin D3 and Fish Oils being the top recommendations for overall health and recovery.
  7. Shift Work & Caffeine
    Special tips were provided for shift workers and caffeine consumption, including stopping caffeine 9 hours before bedtime to avoid disrupting your sleep.
  8. Sustainable Habits
    Finally, we stressed that lasting change comes from building sustainable habits. Focus on whole foods, manage stress, and aim for balance—strict diets are not the answer!
